Lithologische beschrijving
Alternation of fine-grained, argillaceous sandstones and brown-grey silty to sandy claystones. Locally sideritic concretions are present. In the lower part the claystone intervals often are dominant.
Afzettingsmilieu
Shallow-marine (lower-shoreface), associated with the foreshore to upper-shoreface of a coastal-barrier system (Berkel Sandstone Member) prograding to the west and northwest.
Definitie ondergrens
Sharp boundary with the Rijswijk Member, placed at the top of the massive marine sand.
Definitie bovengrens
Gradual boundary with the Berkel Sandstone Member, normally taken at the base of the first massive, clean and porous sand.

100 - 150 m.
