Geographical distribution
ln more basinward areas (P and O quadrants) a thin sandy bed (lateral equivalent to the Berkel Sandstone Member) can be recognised within the Vlieland Claystone Formation. This sandy layer is informally referred to as Berkel Clastic member. ln NAM and RGD (1980) this name was suggested as a solution for wells where the Berkel Sandstone Member and the Berkel Sand-Claystone Member could not be separated.
