Dark greenish grey to brown loam, very sandy, and clay, very silty. Glauconite, goethite and phosphorite concretions.

Definitie ondergrens

Unconformable contact with coarser units of the Breda Formation such as the Zenderen Member.

Definitie bovengrens

Unconformable contact with coarse and shelly marine sand (Oosterhout Formation).

Up to about 50 m palaeovalley setting, up to 15 m elsewhere (Van den Berg & Den Otter 1993).
